Today I just coincidentally watched a famous cartoonist featuring in Starface or what TV programme when I were changing channels. :D I always admire artists, creators & writers. Because they have creative imaginations, their ways of thinkings just so unique so I want to share something again here.
The host asked him if he ever have any regrets or unhappy experience and he answered "none". True happiness lies in your heart and not measured by materialistic elements. True happiness is when u feel content or satisfied and "Liberty". Freedom is not you're being locked up or tied with a rope around your body but you're free and have ABILITIES to do whatever u want. If you're happy with yourself, then there won't be any jealousy or enviousness because you're already satisfied with yourself. U feel happy with contentment when u know and sure what u are doing. A person without a dream or living without purpose is just like a butterfly without its pair of wings. Hmm... I ever wondered why we must born and live through world difficulties when at the end mortals just have to die? Why not just being unborn when we knew we will die at the end right? But because we are humans, we don't know what will happen in our future, isn't u kinda excited to find out what will u be or what's there awaiting for you in the world so we continue to live on? Some people afraid to die because they don't want to leave their wealthy assets and names behind. Some are afraid for their afterlife. Most importantly, some people also fear to suffer the separation with their loved ones. I wondered I'm merely an extremely tiny particle in this world, what can I do with my own very hands in this gigantic society? U believe in yourself thus win every challenges with confidence and work hard to achieve your dreams so u won't have any regrets. U could do when u dare to dream. Nothing is impossible when u try your best and keep the faith. "The most rebellious people can be is being themselves." He said people nowadays lack of boldness compared to people last time. A senior said it's a very huge issue when the youngsters nowadays replied "I don't know" when he asked them "What is your dream or ambition or things u want to do?". He then added "Do u know last time we just uttered happily whatever jobs came across our mind although we knew we might not able to become that person?". People nowadays become too afraid not dare to dream because we are too caught up with the environments. "Don't get tied down by your surrounded environment". Ancient people didn't even need money to survive but people nowadays just mourning when they don't have money. I understand the world is evolving fastly non-stop changing everyday but still "Don't become a narrow-minded person stuck in daily problems". I watched "Chit chat of Beautiful Ladies", a Korean TV talk show by ladies from around the globe and they did a survey "What are Korean elementary kids nowadays worry about?" OMG the responses sure make u O_o. Guess what's in their little heads. Those young childrens answered "The politicians always fighting each other, what will happen to Korea in the future?", "We are afraid wars will occur between North Korea & South Korea", "I must study hard now so I can enter great university in the future". Do u think it's healthy for such young students to have similar thoughts with adults? U might think "Wow, what an intelligent students!" but it's more healthy if people think and act according to their ages. In this world, everything as well as people need to compete with each other like animals and plants in order to survive, we may debate it just create tension and stress but if there's no competitions there won't be improvement. (What's in the world is this sentence got anything to do with this topic I also don't know hehe, I just type whatever running through my brain.) What the generations of 21st century need to develop is they gotta become creative and brave to invent something from none to exist. This reminds me of those famous honourable scientists and philosophers like Aristotle, Isaac Newton, Einstein etc etc. Hehe Micky's quote "I chose 0 because 0 means infinity like fashion begins from zero". No matter how big or small your dreams, only your heart knows its importance even others take lightly or look down on u so just follow your heart and u will feel blissful. Sometimes we wonder why a farmer can live happily with laughter everyday when he needs to soak under the scorching sun, it's because he's satisfied with his life. Don't degrade yourself or think you're unworthy because every person has his own specialities.
Happy people are people who know what is true happiness, I mean those who really experienced hardship and remember them always because people who are successful tend to forget their past which make them "who they are today" after they achieve success. But people who truly happy will always learn how to appreciate. Like I said in previous post, people are greedy, never satisfied with what we have. Look at ourselves, we're really lucky, we were born with a complete healthy body. We are really blessed. We have a pair of eyes to see the colors of the world. U will feel devastated when u ever lose your eyesight unable to see the beauty of your loved ones. We have a nice vocal cord attached to our lips that we can voice our heart out even scream for help when you're in danger or frustration. Do you know normal people could cry twice the times of mute people because the healthy one is helping the mute one to cry since the mute one is not able to cry as much? (not sure about its accuracy) What I mean here is not mute people won't cry but did u ever felt like your heart numb before? U feel very upset then u cry till u think that you're dried out your tears. U don't mention your sadness in front of people anymore because you feel like u have moved on. But then the moment u start to talk about your sadness again, the solid heart that hidden inside which u thought harden already open its wound again, the moistured clear liquid rolling down your cheeks unconciously once again. If you keep silence, your heart might keep bleeding without soul but if you voice it out, your heart become alive again. We have a pair of ears to listen to the beauty of music and the voices of your loved ones. We have a pair of hands so we can touch people and reach things. We have a pair of legs that we can walk and run freely to where ever we want to go. We are middle class people that we have place to live, food to eat, water to drink, education to study, not really undergo difficulties in life. But people won't realize these blessings until they lose them and some even misuse them. Normal healthy people will begin to complain their unfortunates when they lost a part of their body and blame others but have u ever think how those born handicapped, mute, deaf or blind ever feel like that they didn't even have the chance to have a taste of what we have? Lucky people simply throw away unfinished food. Think about undernourished children and adults in Africa before u leave behind your unwanted food. We live in tropical country where rain and water always available so water just being wasted or treated like a useless trash in every seconds but do you know water is like gold oasis in drought desert middle east countries such as Egypt? Yet we still desire for other things. "People need to spend more to earn more." Haha when u have lovely family, u wish to score flying colours in exams, then u hope for being popular among friends, not enough u then climb to the top ladder in your career, u have all the neccesities in your life like house shelter, clothes and money, later on u crave for love from others having relationship, bragging about your rich partners and the list just goes on bla bla bla. If your wild heart never stop reaching higher and higher, u won't feel happy even u have already achieve everything which seems like a successful life in others' eyes. "Simple minded people is more happy and live longer than those who always worry about unnecessary stuffs." "Ignorance is blissful." (This can be a good as well as bad phrase depends on circumstances.) Hmm... whatever, frankly speaking, people is pursuing spiritual happiness instead of materials where u create an equal balance between your dream interests and love relationships plus life neccessities.
He also said that a hunter can't catch two rabbits in the same time or else he sure will fail to catch any at the end. "End whatever u have started". Future is unpredictable so might as well just focus all your attention on one thing till u finish. If u don't take a relationship seriously or decided to two-timing your partner, u will not only hurt yourself but also your partners. If you do your job without putting your 100% effort, u won't able to produce excellent result make you perform poorly in your work. Take Japan ethnics for instance, the "specialization in every working departments" to ensure employers work effectively and increase the productions. "People choose to study in a field not to obtain the certificate but hope to sharpen their skills and potentials to become a better talent in one particular area."
People who suffer the most like living in hell are people who can't find themselves, can't determine discreetly about their likes and dislikes, indesicive all the time. Therefore wasting lots of time and regrets after losing what they're suppose to gain. So it is really fortunate for those who know and clear what they want to do no matter how light or heavy your dreams are, some realize it since young, some discover it during the middle of "growing up" and some are just so sad never really realize it and just live on their lives in bluriness till they die. Struggling in weighing which one will be my route of happiness, I wish I'll be released from this pain and know what I want to be. A lot of speculation and panic erupted after the news of Kim Jun-su, Kim Jae-joong, and Park Yoo-chun of TVXQ filing a provision disposition to terminate the exclusive right effects on their contract with SM Entertainment on July 31st (the injunction application they submitted against SM). Within the past three days, Cassiopeians have been counting their lucky stars that their precious TVXQ will not disband due to this matter. Well, three days is long enough, so on August 3rd, the three members released an official press release through Se-jong addressing everyone’s fears and clarifying any discrepancies speculated by the press (Xiah, Hero, Micky Yoochun represented by SEJONG law firm revealed their official position).
So it doesn’t lead to any final result of the case, yet.
Just an additional information, no surprise, SM stock price is highly declined due to this case. Today’s official position is the opportunity of SM to gain their stock price back in track, yet I don’t see it will happen soon, to see how’s the official position of the members written..........................Three TVXQ members’ Official Position “We don’t not get proper treatment,”
1. During the five years after their debut, the three members were getting really tired mentally and physically because of the one-sided schedule of company.
Xiah, Hero, and Micky are the members of group TVXQ, and they made debut in 2004. They had to travel to Korea, Japan, and China, and perform their schedules by sleeping only 3~4 hours a day, except one week in a year based on their management company, SM’s instructions. Their mental and physical health conditions were getting worse due to the exhausting schedules, but SM tried to enter them into the market abroad and made unreasonable one-sided schedules. Finally, the three members realized that they cannot achieve what they want as artists in SM, as they would be used as just tools to make profit of SM.
2. The period of 13 years actually means whole life contract.
According to their contract, the contract period is 13 years, which would amount to more than 15 years, as the thirteen years do not apply to the time in compulsory military service. That means there is more than 10 years remaining on their current contract, which would essentially mean until their retirement. Also if they break the contract, they would be required to pay more than three times the total investment, or two times the lost profit. Even under the possibility of canceling the contract with the mutual agreement of SM, TVXQ would be required to pay the penalty. In other words, it was actually be impossible to break the contract due to the millions of won involved, so they have no choice but to stay with SM.
3. The members never got the appropriate level of treatment for the amount of effort that they put in.
Not only did the members not receive a deposit since the terms of the exclusive contract forbids the distribution of revenue records.; according to the initial contract(unrevised) for album profit allotment, only when an album sold 500,000 copies, could they get 1/1000 of the sales per member, and when albums sold less than 500,000 copies, the members won’t receive even a single penny of revenue allocation or earnings. This was changed on February 6, 2009, yet the amount of money the members receive from the albums is still only 0.4%~1% per person, depending on the album sales.
4. The members requested changes to inappropriate contract points several times, but SM did not care.
In this situation, the three members requested revision be made on their current inappropriate contract several times, but SM focuses on the concern over their cosmetic line business that completely sidesteps the core of the issue. Nevertheless, the three members wish to find a way to smooth over the problem by requesting a conversation with SM, but SM did not answer it. Also, based on the attitude they showed us, they have realized they cannot solve this problem by simply settling in a conference, and finally decided to take legal action.
5. The cosmetic line investment is not related to their entertainment activities, nor does it have anything to do with this situation. The true essence of this situation would be the inappropriate contract.
SM made a public announcement that the members made provisional disposition due to the cosmetic line investment, but the investment has nothing with this situation. The cosmetic line investment that SM is referring to is the investment the three members made when they were entering the market in China, and it is a financial investment that has no correlation with their entertainment activities. It does not make any sense that the members would make a provisional disposition and put everything they achieved as TVXQ at stake just to invest 100 thousand dollars in a beauty line. The main concern that the members want to focus on is their inappropriate contract terms, and SM should cease using their beauty line investment to distract from the central issue.
(no need futher explanation. SM just insists to point out cosmetic companies investment as the core problem, but they stressed here again, that it’s not the case. The three members are only one of shareholders and not even the high officials of the cosmetic companies (Crebeau). Their lawsuit is purely only to resolve the unfair exlusive contract.)
6. The members do not want to disband TVXQ and just want to free themselves from unreasonable contract restraints.
Many fans are worried about the possible disbanding of TVXQ due to this situation. However, making this provisional disposition does not signal the end of TVXQ. Now, three members are participating in the lawsuit due to a difference of ideas regarding how to approach this situation, but there is no problem between the members. Nothing has changed and they wish to keep the promise they made to their fans that they would stay united as one. If this situation is resolved according and the unreasonable clauses are lifted from their contract, they will be free to be one in front of their fans.
7. We think of this as another chance to mature.
We are sorry to the fans that care about TVXQ so much who may be shocked and dismayed with our actions, but if you think of this as just another chance for us to expand as artists and maintain you support in us, we will promise to compensate you with a more mature TVXQ.
P.S: This fandom is like a drug but in the process I learn and gain so many things from it. It's like a dopamine or endophine for me, instantly brighten up my day. It's not merely watching idol group performing but also if u will see closely, u will realize the beauty of passion, people, life, cross-cultures, talents, skills, teamwork, friendship, brotherhood etc etc. Do u know that a good music not only consisted of true talents and good vocal cord? If u have the true talents but not skills to improve and manipulate your style, good team of staffs, good composers, good choreographers, u won't able to deliver the perfect performance, meaning bringing the maximum satisfaction to audiences. They're the 1st ones who opened my eyes that live is so lot better than songs recorded in CD. They just make me falling over & over for them. I can't describe how I adore and envy them in brief. They of course not flawless since they're humans but they might be the most beautiful people I've ever seen, not only in terms of physical looks but personalities. Just love them for who they are. Famous artists become the natural ambassadors for their country, a huge source of economic contributor and spread the country name and cultures through the fans. This also make me appreciate more of internet and think it's the most amazing human creation which connect and share informations globally in the same time. U might not understand or think I'm crazy but I don't care and if i start my compliments for them, there will be endless of this post so I just zip my mouth for now. I ask myself if this obession will ever ended or is it just a phase, I don't know but I hope it lasts till the end. "ALWAYS KEEP THE FAITH. Ok I know this has nothing to do with all of u, u might know the details from recent medias already but 1st August 2009, the news just dropped like a bomb. I'm sure each fans included me, heart dwelling in worries and inside me, it just keeps unsettled trembling like ocean wave and I need to shout it out. All cassies couldn't do anything but to believe in them as Yoochun said "Always Keep The Faith". Although we believe that disbandament won't happen as it's assured by the members but still we're afraid that they'll change after this if departure from SM is inevitable. Anyway, they're currently still continuing their scheduled activities in Japan, summer performances in A-nation. It's such a relief to see them again. They have special entrance "through the fans" to the front stage covered by parade of black cloths at sides.
So the following will explain the situation of DBSK;
The future of idol group DBSK is uncertain. DBSK's 3 members (Micky YooChun, Xiah Junsu, Youngwoong Jaejoong) and SM's trouble is too deep. Although they state that there will be no disbandment, in reality, disbandment is more than likely. Even if they avoid the worst case scenario, disbandment, it feels like their departure of SM is set.
On the third, a acquaintance of the 3 members said, "settlement with SM has been tried multiple times. But their differences couldn't be settled. The reason this went to court is because they couldn't find a point to settle." Thus, they concluded that more attempts for negotiations was useless.
The acquaintance that the reporter met is someone who has watched over DBSK very closely. He has experienced all ups and downs since debut until now. According to him, DBSK advocated for only one thing. They wanted conditions of the contract to be eased. However, it has gotten to a point where the conversations between the two parties have gone nowhere.
He stated, "they asked for the contract term and earnings distribution to be revised because everyone could tell it was irrational. They attempted to negotiate until the end but they felt that SM was avoiding them. Therefore, things got emotional for both parties and the 3 members are even more angry with SM's response."
"The truth about the 3 things that SM distorted."
After the initial reports about this incident, SM sent documents on the 1st and the 3rd. On the first, they reported that this problem was due to the makeup company investment and they will work it out. After the contract conditions were reported, they responded that members were paid 11 billion Won and were given foreign cars as presents (u can find fancams of Yoochun's Audi R8 in Youtube).
In response to this, he stated, "the nature of this instance is the unfair contract, not the make up company. However, SM has not mentioned the contract conditions and have continued to use make up company issues to play with the media."
Additionally, he discussed about the 11 billion Won. He said, "let's say SM is right and that they were paid 11 billion won for the 6 years of work. This is the pre-tax profit. After taxes were paid, and this amount is divided by 6 years, and 5 members, this is less than 200 million won per member. For the first half of this year, the profits from album sales in Japan is 2.5 billion Yen (33 billion won). However, DBSK doesn't even receive 200 million won per year."
The total number of albums released in and outside of Korea is 48. Out of these, including singles and full albums, 1.96 million copies were sold in Korea. In Japan for 4 full albums and 27 singles, 8 of those sold over 100,000 copies, and one sold over 250,000 copies. Including south-east Asia, at least 4 million albums were sold.
He also criticized abnormal methods of calculating methods. According to him, "SM requested money for back dancers and food. Basically, almost all of the expenses were paid for by DBSK." He added, "besides this, SM created a local subsidiary and divided the earnings of DBSK into pieces. For example, SM Japan and Avex divided earnings, and this was also divided with Korean SM. With complex divisions, the money for the members were reduced.
Also, he stated that the foreign cars were given to them under the company's name. "They received cars from SM after an award ceremony. However, the cars were registered in SM's name and is not owned by DBSK."
"The three members are as tired as they can get."
According to this acquaintance, the three members of DBSK are tired of SM's play with the press. They have no intention to solve this with mere words, and are extremely upset that SM is exaggerating only one side of the story, distorting the truth. He said, "they expected SM to twist words with the press but didn't realize it would be to this extent. If SM continues this method, I think it would be nearly impossible to work together with SM again. I suspect that they will part with SM and try to find a different solution to settle this.
Their departure from SM does not mean the disbandment of DBSK. He asserts that there is no problems in relationships between all the members. They are still like family and agree that in any situations, they must work together. He said, "Truthfully, all five had the same intentions. But in the process of negotiations, there was differences between the members. That is why only 3 members decided to fight with their company. They all agree that the contract conditions are irrational, it is just that their way of handling it is different."
"DBSK will continue even after departure with SM"
Micky YooChun, Xiah Junsu, Youngwoong Jaejoong's will is stronger than ever. The acquittance reported that, "the 3 members are showing stronger wills than before debut. The three members are determined to stick together no matter what hardships come their way."
They are also determined to get back together as 5 members under the name DBSK. He revealed, "even if the 3 members leave SM through lawsuit, this only means departure from SM. This does NOT mean the disbandment of DBSK. It may be after the 2 remaining members leave, or if they perform from 2 different companies; the 5 want to continue with DBSK."
Well then, if 3 members leave SM, would they still be able to use the name 'DBSK.' Upon researching in the Industrial Property Office, the group name 'DBSK' is not registered. SM registered for DBSK trademark in 2004 but was denied. In other words, SM does NOT have the right to the name 'DBSK.'
According to a 'Mansung' Patent Law Firm Office, the patent attorney Hwang Sung Pil said, "Dong Bang means East and one cannot assert exclusive right to use it. Most likely, this was probably the reason why the application was denied 2004. SM cannot assert any trademark rights to the name. If the 5 members are together even away from SM, they will have no problems using the name."
More than anything, DBSK feels extremely sorry to their fans. This is why they want to go through with performances that were already scheduled. The acquaintance reported, "if they lose the lawsuit, they may have to pay an extreme amount of money for penalty. More than that, they are going through hard times thinking that they will have to be away from their fans while the lawsuit is in process."
The night was beautiful tonight. It's not a full moon but it's so bright that it illuminated the whole dark sky simply added wonders to the already amazing scene together with those 3 massive rays of spot light from nearby mini no-customer amusement park hehe. It's windy despite the weather was hot as fire during the day plus hazy recently.
It's the 1st time everything went on slowly, naturally without any fuss though it might seems quite a rush. The 1st time I need no worry about contacting everyone to inform or asking for informations so to confirm that everything running smoothly. This time, one call and everything just settled. Ms.Lee called yesterday midnight to hold a sudden gathering. Today, I went to Ipoh and didn't have any idea if I have transport readied or not at night and we hope it's available. 7pm only I almost reached my home and knew my dad left the car unoccupied. I seems in such a hurry but my mind so peaceful. Haha Ms.Lee suggested steamboat before but then she's having dinner with her family so I wondered if her stomach could be abused to stuff more food? The clock showed 7.40pm, I thought I need to eat but I didn't feel like letting food entered my kinda full tummy so I just quickly refilled my water bottle and set off to fetch my 1st passenger ^^.
I received sms from Ms.Lee said I need no fetch her but Ms.Lam and also two villagers in Temoh hehe. I guessed I just scanned through the previous sms regarding Ms.Cheng's departure to her "boring" academic house tomorrow morning and didn't read the msg properly. That's what happened when I always like to read sms so fast, missing or misunderstood some points here and there. Upon my arrival, I called Ms.Cheng to tell here to come out but it's the 1st time she didn't pick up my ring. Thus I started to doubt OMG was she still in hometown as I recalled back she said she would only enjoy her one week "fake" holidays in Kampar and crawl back to KL the following week, I asked Ms.Lee but no response and finally I called Ms.Low but she answered me "I don't know". Haha 1st time everything didn't planned out but still the event continued successfully.
The little party was simple enough with couples of drinks ordered on table and a small tiramisu cake. The breeze kept blowing out the lit candles and we tried so hard to protect those 3 flickered dancing fire from dying out with our palms hehe. Some very epic old movie played on big projector made us laughed. In the middle, a new shop "Ink" caught our eyes. After finishing our birthday business, we dragged our feet to take a nearer look into the new shop but decided to stop before we stepped in when we discovered it's actually a tattoo shop. Holy smoke, TATTOO shop in tiny laid back Kampar?!!! Hahahaha.
Later on, we changed the venue moved to Westlake. Hehehe it's fun having relaxing chit-chats while moving our bodies casually according to the dull beats blaring from nearby car stereo booms. Ohh in case u wanna know when u guys asked me where I learnt the "laughing yoga" and two other silly yoga moves, I watched them in one of Tohoshinki's latest Japanese TV show hehe. I really like us to try out the "laughing yoga" when there's no scrutinizing stares around us XDDD and make some crazy laughter together next time. It soon ended aproximately 11pm something without one member present but still a delightful memories we created together.
Somehow, today felt kinda bittersweet. The meeting was such a joy but the parting kinda made me felt heavy to let go, I will miss u guys. :( Radio kept displaying sentimental songs just didn't help to ease the feeling during the journey back homes.
